Automated Coating Application Equipment

The Coating Application Skid Unit Model SKDR-CO (coating application only) is designed to be a highly portable, self-contained unit for supplying plural component coating materials and monitoring their application. The system may be used in the field with line travel application equipment, or in the plant with stationary application equipment such as the In-Plant Coating Applicator (IPCÔ).
  The SKDR-CO contains the control panel which allows complete control of the metering system by a single operator. Programmable controllers monitor and control system functions including an automatic mis-metering control system. It also contains the metering pump system, airless spray equipment, component tanks, materials heaters, transfer pumps, breathing air system and storage areas for spare parts and accessories.
  The unit can be quickly mounted on the customer’s truck or tracked skid for easy right-of-way travel.

   The Prime and Tape Machine is intended to apply primer followed by polyethylene or similar tape to line pipe which has been cleaned by HydroKleaning, and its surface prepared by air abrasive blasting or mechanical shot blasting. The swing-open design, allowing quick and easy line mounting and removal, makes the unit particularly suitable for bellhole work.
  However, because it is a line travel machine, the PTL can also be used for main line work. When working in bellholes, the machine is equipped with two tape arms: one for inner tape and the other for outer tape. This configuration is ideal for slower operation. When used on main line operations, the PTL can be reconfigured to accept up to four rolls of tape, each with a maximum weight of 77 lb (35 kg). This provides the equivalent of a 9 in X 400 ft (23 cm X 122 m) roll of tape for longer continuous operation.
